Monica is an expert in good governance, transparency issues, particularly anti-corruption, and security sector reform. At present, she is the Chairperson of the Environmental Bamboo Foundation. Previously, she was the Executive Director for Governance of Partnership Reform (Kemitraan) and held various positions at the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), including Indonesia OIC Country Manager and head of the Anti-corruption Unit. She founded and chaired several institutions. She has also worked as an expert for the European Commission’s Conflict Prevention and Crisis Management Unit, including as an author of its first Conflict Prevention Assessment for Indonesia in 2001.
